Mushroom industry of Fuzhou City features the rarity and industrialization

Over the years, mushroom production has been grasped as the characteristic agricultural industry in Fuzhou City, Fujian Province of China. Up to now, Pleurotus geesteranus, Sparassis crispa, Seafood mushroom, Reishi mushroom, Antrodia camphorata, Auricularia nigricans and other edible and medicinal mushrooms have been developed within Fuzhou City, which satisfies consumers’ requirement on health foods while adding new power for the development of local mushroom industry.

Besides, in recent years, Agricultural Bureau of Fuzhou City also positively perfects the innovation of agricultural science and technology, technology promotion system, enhances the strength on brand construction and pushes its large-scale, standardized and brand-based construction.

According to preliminary statistics, from January to October of 2018, gross mushroom output reached 250,000 tons in Fuzhou City, up for 5.6%. And, output value came to 1.54 billion CNY, up for 5%. In the future, mushroom industry of Fuzhou City is going to follow the road of rarity and industrialization.
