Factory-mode production of White fungus and Sparassis crispa booms in Fujian Province, China

Over the years, mushroom industry blossoms everywhere throughout Youxi County, Fujian Province of China. In 2017, gross capacity on mushroom cultivation came to 280 million bags, gross output on fresh mushroom attained 124,100 tons and output value hit 862 million CNY within Youxi County. By now, a crowd of mushroom enterprises have been established in the county to propel local masses to end poverty and grow rich, of which Fujian Xiangyun Biotechnology Co., LTD and Fujian Tianyi Mushroom Co., LTD are two typical representatives.
Now, in mushroom factory owned by Fujian Xiangyun Biotechnology Co., LTD, White fungus (Snow fungus) production is in routine and smooth process on assembly line.
“We annually output 11,000 tons of fresh White fungi, accounting for 5% of that of China’s gross output. White fungus products developed in the company are sold to Taiwan, Hong Kong of China, America, Japan and other nations,” introduces related principal from Xiangyun Company warmly.
However, at present, in Fujian Tianyi Mushroom Co., LTD, Sparassis crispa are massively evolving into the maturation period.
Sparassis crispa is as rare as Morel mushroom, Cordyceps sinensis and Truffle. Since the establishment of Fujian Tianyi Mushroom Co., LTD, it has been constantly establishing cooperation with Mushroom Institute, Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Fujian Province. Up to now, Sparassis crispa which solely passes provincial identification and acquires independent intellectual property right has been bred by the company in China, and Tianyi Company also took the lead in launching industrialized production.
“The successful exploration of Sparassis crispa enables China to become the third one that masters artificial production technology of Sparassis crispa in the world, and the other two nations refer to Japan and Korea,” said chairman of Tianyi Mushroom passionately.
