Industrialized mushroom production debuts in Yongchuan City, Chongqing of China

Now, in one of mushroom enterprises that covers over 100 mu of area in Shizi Village, Yongchuan District, Chongqing City of China, workers are engaged with semi-automatic flow line production of 5 million bags of Pleurotus geesteranus bags which will be put on market in May.
Industrialized mushroom production refers to a kind of mode which integrates the simulation of ecological environment, intellectualized control, automatic and mechanized work into one. More specifically, it indicates the closed, facility-mode, standardized and anniversary production implemented by temperature-controlled, humidity-controlled equipment and light-operated equipment and managed by modern enterprise mode.
As of now, 162 mushroom enterprises, cooperatives, family farms and large-scale factories have been established while 13 standardized mushroom enterprises have been built in Yongchuan City, scale of industrialized mushroom bases has attained above 1500 mu. Besides, gross mushroom output hits 30,000 tons, which accounts for 70% of total output in Chongqing City. And Pleurotus geesteranus which gains general popularity has occupied above 90% of market share in the city. Moreover, a leapfrog development has been achieved in mushroom industry of Yongchuan District. Now, the district is striving to build itself into “Home of Mushroom” in China.
