The mushroom project regarding wheat straw is thriving

In season of summer harvest. Jiangsu Zishan Biology Limited Liability Company is busy engaged with straw baling, more than 20 rakes and baling machines weave through field, bundles of straws weighting 300-350kg are placed in field, which shows grand scene. According to operators, the baling machines daily work 800-1000 mu and bale 3000 tons of straws, which implies high efficiency. After the fermentation, straws are used for Button mushroom cultivation, generated substrates are then resold to surrounding processing factory for organic and superior fertilizer production, which truly realizes circular utilization and turning wastes into wealth.
According to know, Jiangsu Zishan Biology Limited Liability Company is a listed enterprise which takes wheat straws as the raw materials to produce Button mushrooms. At present, the first and second phase of project has been put into operation, which contributes to the annual output of 10,000 tons of Button mushrooms with wheat straw consumption of 20,000 tons and chicken manure consumption of 10,000 tons. Besides, Button mushrooms produced from the company are superior in quality and have been certificated as Green Food Grade A Product. In 2016, the sales volume of the company obtained 200 million CNY while above 300 people were driven to get jobs.
“The mushroom house of Phase Three is being constructed, after its operation, 10,000 tons of wheat straws are expected to be consumed,” said related principal of Zishan Company passionately.
