Zhejiang: Cultivating mushrooms use river mud which open a new eco-agriculture road

Recently, the farmers were busy producing composting mushroom substrate in Gelin family farm of Shuanghong village Xincang town Pinghu city Zhejiang province.
It’s reported, the mud which was used to make mushrooms cultivation soil from Hongqi rive near the farm. Its’ water content is about 70%, the water retention is good and it saves the labors. In addition, the river mud is rich in variety nutrients and it also can improve the quantity and quality of mushrooms. 100-square-foot mushroom site needs 6 tons mud as substrate. It not only can save production cost but also can solve the problem of mud treatment. “River Mud Cultivates Mushrooms” and “Mushroom Sold” to “Mushrooms Residue Enrich Field” formed a green circular chain, actively explore a new way of ecological agriculture.
