Yunnan: Edible mushroom processing industry of Xiangyun county are on the rise

Recent years, Xiangyun of Yunnan takes full advantage of rich natural resource to produce wild mushrooms that is the industry to increase farmers’ income. The county has create a processing and exporting base that is among the best ones in China. At present, Xiangyun county has developed over 40 species and 17 products has got export certification, including, Matsutake, Bolete, Chantarelle and others. These products are not only sold in China, but also exported to Italy, German, France, Spain, Belgium, Korea, Japan, America, Taiwan and other regions. There are more than 2000 people engaging purchasing, processing and sale wild mushrooms. From Jan to Aug of this year, the county has total processed 13547 tons wild mushrooms; the output value reached 962.93 million CNY, an increase of 5.9% from the previous year; the profit is 58.66 million CNY, an increase of 19.57% from the previous year, sales-output ratio more than 90%. The wild mushroom processing industry promotes 1645 people to get jobs in local.
