Gutian, Fujian is China’s traditional agricultural county, edible mushroom industry is one of the important industries to get rich in Gutian. Gutian edible mushroom wholesale market established in February 2003 made Gutian edible mushroom industry rapid develop.
 
It’s reported, the market is the edible mushroom wholesale market with complete facilities and profession, it’s called “ fixed-point market ” by COFFCC. The market has prefect information system, inspection system, safety traceability system and electronic settlement system. Which is a coalition of edible mushroom trading center, cultural convention exhibition center and information exchange center for a new type of multi-function market. 
 
At present, the county’s edible mushroom products after the transaction is directly sell to 31 provinces and cities of surpermarkets through the market, and export to Southeast Asia, Japan and Korea, North America, the Middle East countries etc. About 30 varieties mushrooms are traded in the market such as White fungus, Shiitake mushroom, Agrocybe cylindracea, Bamboo mushroom, Monkeyhead Mushroom，Black fungus etc, visitors flow volume to reach more than 5000 people per day, annual trading 16 thousand tons, turnover about 640 million CNY.
