Liaoning: Xiuyan edible mushroom industry developed well

This year, Xiuyan, Liaoning was supported by local government, through the relevant departments’ guidance and towns’ efforts, wood-rotting mushroom inoculum has reached 650 million bags in whole the county. Now, Xiuyan mushroom grows well, such as Shiitake mushroom, which has harvested two times, output reached 150 million kilograms, output value reached 1.35 billion CNY. It is predicted that it will be harvested three times before , the output can reach 225 million kilograms, the output value can reach 2.025 billion CNY. At present, Shiitake mushroom “0912”, “8008”, “937”, “ zaofeng Ⅷ” and many other species have been in the season. Besides the "Zaofeng Ⅷ" produced and sold well, having a good price, most of mushroom farmers have recovered the costs. The species of “0912” began to have the profit.

The current trends, mushroom profits to continue rising, farmers are optimistic to next year’ production sales and have begun to prepare next year production and also choose the mushroom varieties, order spawn, purchase raw material etc. The government also has joined in the early production, studied and planned the next year’ production arrangement, also delegated artisans to guide and carried out market researches and investigation, recommended a number of high-quality varieties for Xiuyan farmers and seek better benefits for them.
