Guizhou: Tongren plans to cultivate 500 million edible mushroom spawn bags in the next three years

Developing edible mushroom industry has become the important way to increase farmers’ income in Tongren, Guizhou. In 2014, it has cultivated more than 13 million edible mushroom spawn bags, achieve annual output value of 96 million CNY, increasing fivefold than previous year, the profit reach 30 million CNY, increasing sevenfold than previous year. In the end of 2015, it will achieve the goal of cultivating 30 million edible mushroom spawn bags. At the same time, this place can independent produce spawn bags, breed Shiitake and other species, form protospecies to spawn bags, success rate of inoculate to reach 98%. Mastering core technology, the cost of each bag decrease to 2 CNY. This places also mastered three-dimensional circular agricultural development technology, adopt the way of interplant edible mushroom in the jujube garden.
Tongren government has planned edible mushroom as the pillar industry to develop local economy. And, they plan to cultivate 500 million edible mushroom spawn bags in the next three years.
