The Panellus serotius production base of North Edible Mushroom Research Institution located in Dunhua harvested part of Panellus serotius two months in advance.
According to the base’s manager, Panellus serotius fruits under the temperature from 5 to 24 ℃, it is a low-temperature mushroom species, which commonly grows in the Xing'an Mountains and Changbai Mountains around every middle of September. He adds that Panellus serotius is domesticated from wild Panellus serotius after the search for ten years. The cultivation technique adopts the ventilation type by big bags, biological efficiency reaches 100% to 120%, it’s yield is high and stable.
At present, the temperature in Dunhua is 15 to 31 ℃. The fruiting of Panellus serotius under this high temperature lays the foundation for researching its anti-season fruiting. Further, the innovation breakthrough of Panellus serotius’s cultivation technique will bring considerable economic benefits for mushroom growers.
