Jilin: A new type of Black fungus has been planted experimentally in China

It is well-known that the color of Black fungus is commonly black. However, a new type of Black fungus has been trially planted which is white. After the experienment by Li yu and his team, recently,the "White Black fungus" had been cultivated succussfully in Jilin, Liaoning and Shandong. At present, the yields under punching bag fruiting mode and wall type fruiting mode are stable, which has also reached the standard of scale production.

According to Li Xiao who is the core member of the team, this new type of Black fungus comes from the varietas of Auricularia polytricha in greenhouse cultivation. Through spores hybridization and mutation breeding, stable genetic strains are selected. This new kind of Black fungus tasted crisp. The yield of it is higher than Black fungus’s, the input-output ratio is 1：2-2.5. The "White Black fungus" can be cultivated in general greenhouse and spare rooms, the mushroom’s cultivated way can be managed according to Oyster mushroom and Auricularia polytricha’s way.
