Guizhou: Developing Bamboo fungus base increases farmers’ income in Zhijin

The investment to the Bamboo fungus base in Zhijin, Guizhou achieved over 6 million CNY this year. This Bamboo fungus base covers 150 mu, there are over 120 greenhouses built on it. It is plan to cultivate 600 thousand bottles of Bamboo fungus spawn and finish the cultivation process in the end of June. At present, there are 500 thousand bottles of Bamboo fungus spawn that have been inoculated.
Bamboo fungus is a type of fungi that has rich nutrition. It benefits for hypertension treatment, curing nervosism and enterogastritis diseases. Recent years, Bamboo fungus has a broad market prospect. Due to the construction of Bamboo fungus base, local farmers’ income has increased. Additionally, with the popularization of Bamboo fungus cultivation knowledge, a new group of professional farmers have been recruited.
