Sichuan: Dazhou develops edible mushroom cultivation that increases farmers’ income

It is expected that the output of main vegetable and edible mushroom will reach 1247700 tons in Dazhou in late autumn. Dazhou is located in northeast of Sichuan province, at south foot of the Daba mountain. Dazhou has abundant resources which can be regarded as suitable environment for edible mushroom cultivation. 
Recent years, edible mushroom cultivation was an important way for increasing farmers’ income, local farmers were encouraged to cutivate edible mushroom, such as, Gastrodia elata and Oyster mushroom. It is expected that the output value will achieve 2.3 billion CNY, with a year-on-year growth of 9.5%.
