Jiangsu: Baoying White mushroom base will collect straw from all over the county

Recently, Baoying White mushroom base announced the notification of collecting straw to the whole country. The main business of the base is using waste straw for White mushroom cultivation. The base’s project is divided into three periods. At present, the base can use 5400 tons straw in the first period, accounting for about 10% of the whole amount in Baoying county. After the third period completed, the base can use about 15000 tons straw. Using straw to cultivate mushroom not only takes advantage of waste straw, but also avoids environment pollution due to burning straw. At the same time, it can reduce the cost of edible mushroom cultivation, bring both ecological benefits and economic benefits.
