Yunnan: The income of edible mushroom accounts for over 30% in farmers' household income

In 2014, the per capita income of wild fungus farmers was over 1000 CNY in Yunnan edible fungus producing area . The income of the farmer who earned the most reached over 12 thousand CNY. In the main producing area, income of wild mushroom accounts for 30% to 70% in farmers' household income.
Yunnan is one of the regions that has the most wild fungus amount and species in the world. There are 978 wild fungus species in Yunnan, which accounts for 45% in the known species. It ranks top and accounts for 91% in China. At present, the natural production of wild edible mushroom reaches 500 thousand tons in Lijiang, Kunming and other 127 cites and counties of Yunnan province. The main products are Morel, Boletus, Bamboo mushroom, Black fungus, Reishi and so on. In recent years, Yunnan bases on the wild fungus resource to develop edible mushroom industry. It is engaging in creating Yuannan wild fungus brand, promoting characteristics economic growth with the support of local policy.
