Hebei: Pingquan is awarded as “the Hometown of Chinese Edible Mushroom”

Recently, a selection activity “Chinese Specialties Hometown” was conducted by China High-quality Agricultural Products Development Services Association. During this activity, Pingquan in Hebei Province was awarded as “the Hometown of Chinese Edible Mushroom”.
Edible mushroom is one of characteristics leading industries in Pingquan. The annual output in  this country reaches 30,000 tons, and the whole value reaches over 300 million CNY. In recent years, Pingquan is expanding the mushroom production scale continually. This country increases the intensity of cultivation and introduction of processing enterprises. It is also engaging in expanding the brand influence, using the project funds of agriculture and animal husbandry, water conservancy, poverty alleviation. There are over 20 million CNY provided for mushroom industry as support fund annually. Moreover, with the increasing intensity of technology added in local mushroom industry, edible mushroom has became an significant way for increasing local benefits.
