It is said from folklore that Shiitake has a harvest when there are much thunder during the year. According to a Japanese researcher, an experiment conducted in Morioka’s forest from 2006 was exploited a new device by four current condensers. Before the two weeks to one months of Shiitake mushrooms’ harvest, 50,000-100,000 volts was applied to wood flour and mushroom bed within one over ten million seconds. Finally, it was found that the yield of Shiitake increased by about one times.
The experimental result shows that different output voltages increase the production of different kinds of mushroom. Different output voltages exert different influences of Shiitake’s growth. The principle of output voltages increase mushrooms’ production is still not clear yet. But it is worth to be explored. It can be assumed that after improved, this approach can be used in practical production that may be effective for improving production rate.
