Qingchuan’s Black Fungus has a long history, which can be traced back to at least 800 years ago in Southern Song Dynasty. Whereas, according to local chronicles, the history of it is over one thousand years, dates back to Tang Dynasty. The high reputation of Qingchuan’s Black Fungus attributes to the Black Fungus cultivation of the long history.
Currently, the high reputation of Qingchuan’s Black Fungus is well-known as one of the “national geographical indication products” in China. There are over 3400 mu cultivation bases in Qingchuan. It achieves the production amounts of 1700 tons annually that can be sold at 119 million CNY. In addition, Black Fungus from Qingchuan is not only sold well in more than 10 provinces and 40 big-middle cities, but also exported to Southeast Asia, Europe and America countries.
