Hunan: More than 50% revenues of Wenxi farmers came from mushroom cultivation in Jingzhou

For a long time, Jingzhou in Hunan is famous for its industry of Wolfiporia cocos. But in recent years, Jingzhou constantly adjusted the structure of agricultural production, riched varieties of edible fungus cultivation, in Wenxi village of Jingzhou county, mushroom industry became the main force of the people's income.It is understand, Wenxi mushroom planting started in the 1990s, after 20 years of development, Wenxi had formed the scale, standardization and counter-season production mode, effectively promote the surrounding farmers' income. In 2014, the mushroom output in Wenxi were 11000 thousand bags, realized the output value 70 million CNY, the per capita net income for farmer reached 4500 CNY. Up to now, the mushroom income accounted for over 50% of the farmers' income.
