Shanghai Jiangqiao Market: Analysis of Mushroom Price

According to mushroom quotation provided by Shanghai Jiangqiao Vegetable Wholesale Market, on June 24, King oyster mushroom, White Enoki mushroom and Seafood mushroom are 3 varieties that show price fall.

1. Price of King oyster mushroom has dropped from 6.5 to 6 CNY per kg, indicating 8% of decline range.

2. Price of White Enoki mushroom has dropped from 4.5 to 4 CNY per kg, indicating 11% of decline range.

3. Price of Seafood mushroom has dropped from 7 to 6.5 CNY per kg, indicating 7% of decline range.

On the contrary, by June 24, Shiitake mushroom, Button mushroom, Brown Shimeji mushroom, Superior Shiitake mushroom and Stropharia rugosoannulata are 5 varieties that show price rise.

1. Price of Shiitake mushroom has risen from 9 to 10 CNY per kg, indicating 11% of increase range.

2. Price of Button mushroom has risen from 8 to 12 CNY per kg, indicating 50% of increase range.

3. Price of Brown Shimeji mushroom has risen from 10 to 12.5 CNY per kg, indicating 25% of increase range.

4. Price of Superior Shiitake mushroom has risen from 15 to 16 CNY per kg, indicating 7% of increase range.

5. Price of Stropharia rugosoannulata has risen from 9 to 14 CNY per kg, indicating 56% of increase range.

“Market price of Oyster mushroom, Straw mushroom, White beech mushroom, Drumstick mushroom, Yellow Enoki mushroom, Agrocybe cylindracea, Pholiota nameko, Hericium mushroom and Pleurotus geesteranus is respectively at 6 CNY, 16 CNY, 11.7 CNY, 11 CNY and 4.5 CNY, 9 CNY, 9 CNY, 10 CNY and 10 CNY per kg. Now, it is the slack season for mushroom sales, price of mushroom is at a low level on the whole in our market,” said manager of Shanghai Jiangqiao Vegetable Wholesale Market passionately.
