Waste straws are treasures for planting mushrooms and generating handsome profits

On December 22, in Sichuan Yingtairui Agricultural Development Co., LTD, Black fungi are evolving into the fruiting period.

“After the pulverization and fermentation, waste straws are reused as raw materials for mushroom production, then, they are also used for the third time as fertilizers to lift the fertility of soil. By now, we have mastered a mature technology and market,” said vice manager of Yingtairui Company warmly. “Corn straws and Sorghum stalks are ideal materials for production of Oyster mushroom, Drumstick mushroom and Enoki mushroom, to set Oyster mushroom as the example, 300 nutrient bags could be made by 1 ton of straw, 10,000 nutrient bags of Oyster mushrooms could be arranged in each greenhouse that occupies 1 mu of land, 1.5-2 kg of fresh mushroom could be output from each nutrient bag, with the wholesale price of 7-8 CNY per kg, gross output value comes to 100,000-160,000 CNY.”
