Wild imitation of Reishi mushroom cultivation yields bright annual output value

Recently, in Xinglong Reishi Mushroom Cooperative located in Lixing Village, Teng County, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China, Reishi mushrooms are in good growth trend.

“With the cultivation technology of wild imitation by maple tree, Reishi mushrooms cultivated in the cooperative are close to wild ones and are in high market price as well,” said Mr. Huang Jianlong, principal of the cooperative, adding that the present market price of Reishi mushroom cultivated in the cooperative is 600 CNY per kg, and 30,000 CNY per kg for spore powder.

In 2016, Mr. Huang embarked on trial planting of Reishi mushroom in 1 mu of area, and generated over 30,000 CNY of benefits. After tasting the sweetness, he enlarged the area to 8 mu and established the cooperative. In 2017, gross revenues on Reishi mushroom and spore powder totaled over 200,000 CNY. As of the time of 2018, over 1000 kg of Reishi mushrooms have been picked and the projected gross annual output value could hit 1 million CNY.
