New technology: Black Fungus cultivating technologies using fresh vinasse

2015-01-23 13:32:29

1,Pre-treatment

Vinasse is dried in the sun and stirred for volatilizing irritant gases and sterilizing one week before it is to be used. After eliminating impurities, lime is added to decrease acidity.
2, Medium formulation
Vinasse has a lower lignin content, wood chips are added into the medium formulation to meet mycelial growth and ventilation. Several medium formulations are detailed as follows: i, 77% sorghum or rice, wheat liquor vinasse, 5% rice bran or bran, 15% sawdust ; ii, 77% barley, broken rice beer vinasse, 20% sawdust; iii, 77% sorghum, rice husk white spirit vinasse, 15% rice bran or bran, 5% sawdust. 1% of superphosphate, gypsum powder, and lime powder are added in each formulation, respectively. Water content in medium maintains 60-65%.
3, Bagging and sterilizing
Mediums are put into polyethylene bags with 17cm × 33cm specification. Vinasse should be sterilized thoroughly because it contains thermophilic bacillus and other bacteria, this is the key to use vinasse successfully.
4, Inoculation
The sterilized medium is inoculated in time after its temperature dropped to 30℃, then begin spawn run under room temperature. In this period, besides keeping proper temperature and humidity, it is necessary to check incubating bags for eliminating bacteria spots.
5, Fruiting management
In fruiting period, medium surface is susceptible to bacteria. It is essential to remove them along with contacted medium or smear these spots with concentrated lime once some bacteria and spots are found. It is also necessary to ventilate 2-3 times a day and spray water 2-3 time a day for keeping 85-90% relative moisture indoor. If these managements are well completed, 100-120Kg fresh black fungus would be  harvested using 100Kg vinasse.
