Mushroom cropping expands to a prosperous industry

Over the years, Xiyang County, Shanxi Province of China has been relying on local resource superiorities to vigorously expand mushroom industry, especially Button mushroom industry. Up to now, 1380 Button mushroom sheds have been built within the county. Besides, gross scale of cultivation totals 1.5 million square meters, annual mushroom output reaches 15 million kg while output value hits 132 million CNY, mushrooms produced in Xiyang County have been successively exported to USA, Spain and other countries.
Now, it is the harvest season of Button mushroom in Dongpingyuan Village of Xiyang County.
“Gross cultivation scale totals 16,000 square meters in Dongpingyuan Village, by now, 16 sheds have been built within the village, which encourages 14 rural households to embark on Button mushroom cropping,” introduces head of Dongpingyuan Village warmly, saying that by now, over 200,000 kg of mushroom have been output in the first batch, gross revenues hit at least 1.2 million CNY. The flourishing development of Button mushroom industry generates considerable profits while driving surrounding villagers to get stable jobs.
