Haimin Professional Cooperative: Shiitake cropping flourishes

In this golden autumn, fragrance of fresh Shiitake mushroom greets the upcoming harvest time in Haimin Professional Cooperative of Hanmaying Town, Longhua County, Hebei Province of China.
“Now, it is the picking time of Shiitake mushrooms in the cooperative, daily picking volume comes to 3000 kg,” said Mr. Feng Haimin, principal of the cooperative passionately. “In 2016, i established Haimin Professional Cooperative, this year, 250,000 Shiitake logs are input, and output value on each batch of Shiitake log hits 2 million CNY.”
Shiitake mushroom is an edible mushroom that is mostly used in Japanese and Chinese cooking where it grows naturally. For centuries the mushroom has been grown in the far east and is praised for its healing abilities. And, it is also known to lower blood pressure and cholesterol, the mushroom is frequently used in Japan as a cancer prevention remedy.
