Jiangsu Province: Off-peak mushroom marketing season highlights product superiorities

Besides, Shiitake growing holds a long period, it generally takes 120 days from inoculation to fruiting, color-changing period usually arrives at the fortieth days of the growth period, which transforms Shiitake mushrooms from white to brown color, thus fine and careful management should be accomplished during that time.
During color-changing period, piercing machine should be introduced for piercing work on Shiitake logs, averagely 100 holes on each log, to let logs fully absorb oxygen and go through normal color-changing.
