Sichuan Province of China: Export volume on Matsutake mushroom reaches 1812.5 tons

On August 29, there is a busy scene in Songcheng Matsutake Garden of Yajiang County, Sichuan Province of China, workers are orderly engaged with sorting and slicing work.
Located in Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Yajiang County holds advantaged natural climate and geographical environment which fit for mushroom growth, and it is also known as The Home of Matsutake in China, annual output on superior Matsutake mushroom comes to over 1000 tons.
Each year, it is the best season for Matsutake picking, processing and transaction from June to September in Yajiang County, in recent two years, local government positively helps introduce logistics enterprises, up to now, over 2000 tons of Matsutake have been transported out of the county via the pattern, which drives 6000 CNY of average revenues per household.
In 2018, Yajiang County asks for 1812.5 tons of export approval on Matsutake mushroom, by the end of this year, the estimated foreign exchange through Matsutake export hits 500 million CNY.
