How to control the fruiting time of King oyster mushroom?

Known as Pleurotus eryngii, King oyster mushroom gains popularity by general customers and holds bright development prospect in China. Over the years, more and more chinese growers launch into the industry as its demand increases.

During the production process of King oyster mushroom, fruiting time is undoubtedly a hot potato. Once it is not well managed, output of King oyster mushroom might be seriously affected.
In China, Northeast, Inner Mongolia fits for the cultivation of King oyster mushroom, for that variety, suitable temperature for growth of mycelia is 25 degrees Celsius, during the formation period of mushroom buds, 10-20 degrees Celsius is proper while the optimal temperature range is 12-18 degrees Celsius. When it is lower than 8 degrees Celsius, sporocarps are hard to form while mushroom bodies are easy to go withered when temperature is higher than 20 degrees Celsius.

It generally takes 50-60 days from sowing to fruiting, before the fruiting, remove bags into greenhouse and cut off tying mouth so as to reveal the surface of material. Then regulate the humidity to 95%, illumination to 1000 lux and control the temperature to below 20 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, give less ventilation and primordia form after 15 days or so. After another 3-5 days, primordia differentiate into young mushrooms at a temperature range of 15-20 degrees Celsius, 90% of humidity and 500-700 lux of illumination. Most importantly, never allow temperature to rise to over 22 degrees Celsius.
