With the purposes of efficiently utilizing agricultural resources, decreasing production cost, improving effect, mushroom cultivating model “Three harvests annually in one mushroom room” succeeded and gained considerable economic benefit in Wei county, Guangpin county in recent years. This model can reuse resources, reduce waste and pollution, having good economic, ecological and social benefits. The details are stated as follows:
The first planting: Oyster Mushroom, Mini Oyster Mushrooms, or Pleurotus nebrodensis could be selected. Mini Oyster Mushroom is taken as an example: strains producing is to be completed from Middle July to the end of August, Mini Oyster Mushrooms are to be cultivated in early September, the harvest period is to extend to March next year, in which Mini Oyster Mushrooms are to be harvested 4 times. In a common mushroom room of 200 m2,12500 Kg of fresh mushroom are to be harvested with the value of 22000 RMB at price of 1.8 RMB/Kg, 10000 Kg of raw materials are expended which values 7000 RMB, gross income of 15000 RMB is to be gained.
The second planting: Shaggy Mane. The strains producing is to be completed from August to October. The strains are to be preserved up to April next year. In early April, the wastes sourced from the first planting is exposed to sunlight for 2-3 days, after crushed, blended with new raw materials at ratio of 4:6, then bagged and inoculated.
1400 Kg waste from the first planting could be reused, 1400 RMB are saved. One month is to be needed for strain expansion. Shaggy Mane is to be cultivated in early May and harvested three times from Mid-May to the end of June, 3500 Kg fresh mushroom is to be obtained, valued above 10000 RMB at price of 3.4 RMB/Kg, 3000 RMB for raw materials is deducted, gross income of 7000 RMB is to be gained.
The third planting: Straw Mushroom. The strains producing is to be completed from early April to the end of May, Straw Mushrooms are to be cultivated in early July. The raw materials consist of wheat straw (60%) and mushroom waste (40%), added with appropriate amount of calcium superphosphate. 1250 Kg waste from the second planting is to be reused, 1200 RMB are saved. The prepared raw materials are laid in furrows with the thickness of 20cm in the mushroom room, then inoculated. Ten days later, Straw Mushrooms could be harvested first, then the second harvest is the terminal. In a mushroom room of 200 m2 , 6-7.5 kg/m2 of Straw mushroom could be obtained , the producing value could attain 5000 RMB at price of 4 RMB/Kg.
The total fresh mushroom of 16500 Kg produced from the three planting values 37000 RMB, with deduction of 1000 RMB for investing mushroom room and 10000 RMB for raw materials, gross income of 26000 RMB could be gained annually.
