Guizhou Province of China: Pleurotus geesteranus cultivation goes wild

On August 6, Pleurotus geesteranus cultivated in Luoyexin Mushroom Base that situates in Guanling County, Guizhou Province of China are leading good growth tendency.
With the gross investment of 11 million CNY, Luoyexin Mushroom Base absorbs 68 standardized mushroom greenhouses and annually outputs over 3 million sticks of Pleurotus geesteranus, annual output value attains 13.77 million CNY while gross profits hit 2.75 million CNY. In addition, the base also propels over 340 households totalling 1258 population to embark on mushroom growing and generate an average income of 5729 CNY per household.
“At present, Pleurotus geesteranus is the variety which shows large cultivation scale in Guanling County. Up to now, we have established 139 greenhouses and put them into production on Phase One. In the future, we firmly believe that mushroom growing which highlights short period and quick efficiency could be continuously grasped as prosperous industry by local masses,” introduces head of Guanling County warmly.
