Basic requirements on cultivation management of organic mushroom

1. Site selection and control: select cultivation site where is free from crop field, chemical plant, hospital, dumping ground and other contaminated zone, mine, coal yard and other dust zone. Besides, make sure that the site you select has never been applied with pesticides within 2 years. After the procedure, strictly control cultivation variety, quantity, and use organic food marker in accordance with actual output when marketing final mushroom products.
2. Purchasing of raw materials: Be sure not to choose any transgenic strain. In addition, introduce raw materials which pass organic certification and come from original economy to the site such as wheat and stalk, and indicate the certification number. For plastic mushroom bags, adopt those that meet the requirement of organic food.
3. Formula and disposal of base materials: In general, it is practicable to choose running water which meets the criterion of the city or town, in the case of self-prepared water well, be sure to ask relevant department for detection and not to adopt common ground water or reservoir water. In addition, when preparing for materials, operators should scientifically design formula in accordance with the variety, and not to randomly combine with chemical fertilizer or medicine.
4. Management and operation during spawn-running process: Regarding the disposal of spawn-running site, operators could carry out the disinfection by bleaching powder in the case of layer-mode mushroom cultivation. And, install pest net, black light lamp to control and kill pests.
5. Fruiting management: Sterilization pattern of fruiting room is the same as spawn-running site, growers could also spray lime powder on the ground. In mushroom greenhouse, growers could thoroughly implement the sanitation and enhance the ventilation before spraying 5%-15% of supernatant lime water to wall space and the ground. Most importantly, when going through the above-mentioned procedures, operators MUST wear a pair of latex glove. And, disinfect on containers and tools with ethyl or lime solution in advance.
When picking mushrooms in a small amount, growers have to firstly wash hands with soap, and after the picking, immediately arrange the trimming, grading and binning work in workshop. In refrigeration workshop that has been thoroughly cleaned and ventilated, spray 10% of lime water to wall space and the ground, after natural drying, temporarily store products inside.
