China’s Shiitake mushrooms gush into market of Japan and Korea

On July, 21, in Shiitake greenhouse built by Shenghong Mushroom Cooperative of Qian’an City, Hebei Province of China, staffs are engaged with the picking and sorting work with smiles hanging in faces. After the procedures, Shiitake mushrooms are mainly sold to several regions in China and oversea nations such as Japan and Korea.
Over the years, Qian’an City keeps on promoting the construction of characteristic mushroom base, and realizing the production pattern that highlights regional layout, large-scale growing and industrial operation. Annual output on vegetables (including mushrooms) and fruits comes to 661,800 tons and gross output value hits 1.142 billion million CNY.
Shenghong Mushroom Cooperative absorbs over 40 rural staffs, accumulates strength to provide superior mushroom products for Beijing, Tianjin and other regions and cities in China. Meanwhile, it becomes a development platform for local masses to generate incomes and grow rich. Now, the cooperative holds a series of machinery and equipment regarding sawdust processing, automatic bagging and high-temperature disinfection for modernized mushroom production. Besides, up to now, it has introduced 6 superior Shiitake varieties and promoted several technology on intensive spawn running, preservation storage, automatic micro spraying, sunshade net covering and no-cutting film vertical cultivation.
