Yunnan Province: It is the peak marketing season of Matsutake

In early morning, 300kg of wild Matsutakes were transported to Yunnan Mushuihua Wild Mushroom Transaction Market and immediately sold out.
“As one of the characteristic wild mushrooms in Yunnan Province, Matsutake enjoy wide reputation in China and even in the world,” said related staffs working in Mushuihua Market courteously, adding that marketing time of Matsutake usually starts from the end of March while Matsutakes hold the market price of 10,000-20,000 CNY per kg, the maximal status during a year, then, peak marketing time arrives at the end of June.
Now, in Mushuihua Market, transaction price of superior Matsutake is at a range of 300-1200 CNY per kg, sitting in three levels.
Fresh Matsutakes show brown caps and white stipes, they carry thick and fine texture as well as heavy aroma. Matsutakes are a rich source of protein, cellulose, amino acid and unsaturated fatty acid, their regular consumption helps accelerate the elimination of free radical, improve cardiovascular function, boost immune system and stand up to cancer.
