Mushroom industry is directed at a dynamic development tendency

Over the years, mushroom growing has been seized as one of crucial roads for the masses to take off the hat of poverty and go rich in Tongren City, Guizhou Province of China. Relying on the superiority of advantageous natural resources, the city gradually realizes large-scale, normalized and scientific development of mushroom growing.
According to statistics, in 2017, gross capacity of mushroom cultivation attained 212 million sticks, gross mushroom output came to 159,000 tons and output value amounted to 1.11 billion CNY in Tongren City, which respectively shows 3.2 times of average increase compared with 2016. In addition, 425.69 million CNY of investment was input on mushroom industry, and above 15,000 poor households were driven to embark on mushroom growing and realize per capita income of 3200 CNY in Tongren City.
During the development course of mushroom industry, Tongren City mainly concentrates its efforts on investment promotion and exploration of mushroom varieties. In 2017, a series of varieties such as Shiitake, Black fungus, Morel, Bamboo fungus, Maitake and Agrocybe cylindracea have been developed while Shenzhen Jinjia Group, Guifu Mushroom Company, Sichuan Mianyang Baoxing Modern Agriculture Company and others have been introduced to the city after repeated investigation.
