Growing Auricularia polytricha to generate over 300,000 CNY of annual profits

On June 1, Auricularia polytricha cultivated in base of Zhaodian Village, Yutai County, Shandong Province are in smooth fruiting phase.
According to data statistics, by 2017, total area of Auricularia polytricha cultivation reached 7300 mu, annual output on fresh Auricularia polytricha attained 398,000 tons while output value came to 1.189 billion CNY within Yutai County.
Up to now, 5 high-standard Auricularia polytricha gardens which hold over 500 mu of scale, 1 modernized, standardized breeding centre of superior strain and 10 production and processing bases of Auricularia polytricha have been built in Yutai County. In addition, the county has developed over 40 specialized mushroom cooperatives, which drives over 70,000 populations to engage in production, processing and circulation of Auricularia polytricha.
Next step, Yutai County proposes to devote itself into the improvement on production level of modern Auricularia polytricha garden, the value addition of Auricularia polytricha product processing, and path expansion of comprehensive utilization of residues so as to gradually perfect industrial chain and further strengthen local county economy.
