Morel farming evolves into new industry that accelerates poverty removal

Recent days, Morels cultivated in greenhouse of Jiefang Village, Pingle Town, Guizhou Province of China are revealing satisfactory growth tendency. Mr. Li, owner of the greenhouse, is carefully engaged with Morel picking with knife.
In 2014, Mr. Li was determined as the targeted poor population in Pingle Town. At the beginning of this year, under the support and guidance of local government and mushroom enterprises, Mr. Li transformed land and launched trial Morel cultivation in 5 mu of area.
“Picking time arrived at the beginning of March, mu output attains 150 kg, to calculate by 240 CNY per kg, mu output value hits 36,000 CNY or so, which indicates prominent economic benefits,” introduces Mr. Li warmly.
