Zhejiang: Reish Spore Powder Processing Standards was put into practice on 1 January 2015

At present, the former version recorded in (2005 Version) has been revised by Zhejiang Food and Drug Administration, the new version will be put into practice on 1 January 2015. The new standards record 2 Reish specification including Reish spore powder (RSP) and broken Reish spore powder (BRSP), in which quality standards on easy-oxidization and acidity and contamination by heavy metal are improved; For RSP, 5 tested items are set, including traits, microscopic identification, impurities, moisture, total ash et al.; For BRSP, 11 tested items are set, including traits, impurities, moisture, total ash, heavy metals and harmful elements (lead, cadmium, arsenic, mercury, copper, chromium, nickel), broken rate, peroxide value, microbial limits, fingerprints, triolein and polysaccharides et al. The new version standardize the functions and main indications, usage and dosage of RSP, which basically conform to Chinese medicine clinical characteristics and processing characteristics in Zhejiang Province, meanwhile it strengthens regulation on BRS products in market circulation, promoting the industry to develop more healthy and orderly.
