Button mushroom cultivation leads farmers to embark on the affluent path

Zizhong Village, Liaocheng City, Shandong Province of China used to be a characteristic poor village. Since the implementation of precise poverty alleviation, over 2.1 million CNY of investment has been successively raised on establishment of 30 Button mushroom greenhouses, after one year, Liangfei Button Mushroom Cooperative which absorbs over 180 labor force was built.
“3 to 4 times of picking could be realized in each greenhouse, daily fruiting amount hits 200-300 kg while the present market price is at 8-12 CNY per kg. After deducting 3.6 CNY of cost per kg, profits represent rather favorable,” said one of staffs working in Liangfei Cooperative excitedly, continuing that by now, above 60 Button mushroom greenhouses have been built, total cultivation area attains 30,000 square meters while mushrooms win stable and popular markets.
