Black fungus cultivation: Annual output value obtains 5.1 billion CNY in Yanbian, Jilin Province

Over the years, mushroom industry has been experiencing rapid development tendency in Yanbian Autonomous Prefecture, Jilin Province of China, many breakthroughs have been achieved in aspect of large-scale, industrialized and standardized cultivation while scale of base and leading enterprise has been further strengthened. In Yanbian Autonomous Prefecture, step of industrial development is evidently quickened and output value rises year by year, especially in Black fungus industry. In 2017, gross cultivation capacity reached 1.6 billion bags, gross production on fresh mushroom added up to 850,000 tons while output value came to 5.1 billion CNY.
Now, there are above 23 villages and towns which hold annual production scale of 5 million bags of Black fungus in Yanbian Autonomous Prefecture, in addition, over 200 specialized mushroom cooperatives which absorb over 60,000 Black fungus peasant households have been built in the prefecture, average incomes reach 27,000 CNY or so per household. Obviously, Black fungus cultivation has become the main channel for local growers to generate incomes and grow well-off, and it ranks first among local agricultural industry.
