Capable brain: Cultivating Shiitakes to end poverty

In Foping County, Shaanxi Province of China, Shiitake industry enjoys the prosperity all the year round.
“By now, 32 poor households have been leaded to shake off poverty via Shiitake cultivation, this year, our goal is to develop 2.5 million bags of Shiitake and drive 110 poor households to end poverty,” introduces Mr. Huang, legal person in charge of Hongxin Mushroom Cooperative in Foping County.
With the standardized greenhouse that covers over 20,000 square meters, Hongxin Cooperative annually produces 400,000 bags of Shiitake, output value obtains 4.328 million CNY, Shiitakes cultivated in the cooperative are widely favored by customers and remain in short supply throughout the year.
