Pleurotus cultivated via mulberry branches acquired Natural Selenium-rich Product Certification

Recently, Pleurotus geesteranus cultivated via mulberry branches from Yiren Cooperative of Guangxi Province, Agricultural Cooperative and Mugeshan Cooperative of Yizhou District acquired Natural Selenium-rich Product Certification.
Yizhou District, Guangxi Province of China belongs to selenium-rich area, selenium element shows 0.17-3.00mg per kg in soil. As the perennial plant, mulberries cultivated within Yizhou City are endowed with selenium elements which help lay foundation for development of selenium-rich mushroom products in the city. By strain selection of Pleurotus geesteranus, mulberry improvement on substrate formula, technical production innovation, the cooperatives successfully developed Selsnium-rich Pleurotus geesteranus products.
This time of magnificent certification greatly inspired the confidence of local mushroom enterprises and growers on development of natural selenium-rich products. Next step, they plan to increase input and expand cultivation scale of selenium-rich products to 200,000 square meters by 2020.
