Recent days, Gongjiachong Village, Jiuzihe Town, Hubei Province of China has been busy with Gastrodia transaction.
“Two years ago, i embarked on Gastrodia industry, now, 6800 kg of Gastrodia could be harvested in each mu of land and gross incomes go up to 200,000 CNY, which greatly enhances poverty removal,” said one of local Gastrodia growers excitedly.
According to know, Jiuzihe Town is famous for Gastrodia and Poria cocos, total cultivation area reaches over 5000 mu in the town. In 2016, gross output on Gastrodia obtained 6 million kg, which accounts for a third of gross output in the country, the town is also praised as The First Town of Gastrodia. Besides, Poria cocos cultivated in the town have been also certified as National Geographic Landmark Products in 2007, evidently, the crops are the main leading industries which accelerate local poverty alleviation.
