Black fungus cultivation supports poverty alleviation

Recent days are crucial for over 40 households that engage in Black fungus cultivation in Shilin County, Yunnan Province of China.
As the first batch of members in Black Fungus Association of Yunnan Province, they actively promote the development of Black fungus industry and drive surrounding people to end poverty and become prosperous.
In 2013, Kunming Xuri Fenghua Agricultural Technology Co., LTD was founded in Shilin County, in line with the operational mode of vertical greenhouses, the company vigorously propels poor households to push the industry.
“Over the 3 years, we actively engage in Black fungus cultivation in the county, during cultivation and harvest season, daily incomes add up to 80 CNY while 8000-9000 CNY could be earned per person after the season, besides, each poor household is able to generate annual incomes of 3500-5300 CNY,” introduces one of local growers passionately.
