Over the years, Huanren Town, Liaoning Province of China has been vigorously implementing innovative and income-generating project so as to push the prosperous life of local farmers, under-forest mushroom cultivation could be one of great achievements.
In 2013, during the development of Black fungus industry, some of villagers found that a large number of mushroom sacks were abandoned for some objective reasons, which results in miserable wastes, then they re-utilized them for mushroom production on a whim, and the representative of woman’s congress took the lead in cultivation of 5000 bags of mushroom and generated 10,000 CNY of annual incomes. After that, under her leadership, under-forest Black fungus cultivation gradually flourishes. By the end of this year, the anticipated mushroom output is expected to obtain 200,000 bags while output value realizes over 1 million CNY.
Furthermore, since last year, some of villagers have been reusing mushroom bags as heating fuels by means of airing, 5000 kg of firewood could be replaced by 20,000 waste mushroom bags and each household could save 3000 CNY of heating fee.
