Shiitake growing carves out a thriving way

Over the years, mushroom cooperative of Jinzhai County, Anhui Province of China has been positively pushing Shiitake industry and opening up new flourishing path for masses.
“There are 3000 Shiitake sticks in the greenhouse, to calculate by the present market price of 8 CNY per kg, incomes on each stick reach 10 CNY while 30,000 CNY could be earned via 3000 sticks. After deducting costs of 13,500 CNY on 3000 sticks, and 6000 CNY on 2 greenhouses, net profits obtain 10,500 CNY,” introduces Mr. Cao excitedly, who operates one of Shiitake greenhouses in Tiechong Village of Jinzhai County.
Tiechong Village is a characteristic mountainous poor village where reveals big diurnal temperature variation and 70% of rate on Shiitake output, Shiitake cultivation also highlights less area occupation, quick output, high benefits and low labor intensity, which quite fits for local poor families who are eager to increase earnings. Let’s move on to an example, last year, one of villagers got the job in the greenhouse, earned average daily payment of 80-100 CNY and annual incomes of 15,000 CNY, which is quite a sum of stable and satisfactory income.
