Under-forest mushroom industry enhances poverty removal

Over the years, Mengjiagang Town, Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province of China has been firmly grasping the development opportunity of under-forest economy and vigorously pushing under-forest mushroom cultivation, which not only booms cultivators, but also quickens the step of poverty alleviation.
Recently, Shiitakes cultivated in one of local bases under the name of Mengjiagang Loushan Mushroom Cooperative have been entering into peak picking season.
“The cooperative was founded at the end of 2015, at the beginning of this year, superior mushroom strain was introduced while mushroom mavens were invited to give on-site management,” introduces principal of the cooperative, adding that till now, standardized cultivation mode has been formed in aspect of water and electricity, production equipment in the cooperative.
In addition to Shiitake industry, so far, scale of Black fungus industry in Mengjiagang Town has reached 85 million bags, in the future, local town party committee plans to go on strengthening mushroom industry so as to boost poverty alleviation.
