Yunnan Province accelerates the structural adjustment of mushroom industry

Since the introduction of mushroom industry in 2011, Xishan District, Yunnan Province of China has been leading diversified development in aspect of mushroom variety, now, mushroom industry has become another highlight that boosts local industrial structural adjustment and strengthens the development of characteristic agriculture.
According to know, in one of typical mushroom bases of Xishan District, Shiitakes are growing well while Black chicken mushrooms lead satisfactory growth tendency.
In 2012, mushroom cultivation was formally launched in the district, till now, gross capacity on Shiitake comes to 11.05 million sticks, gross output on fresh Shiitake totals 6915.6 tons and economic benefits attain 51.34 million CNY. Besides, mushroom varieties have been expanded from Shiitake to Oyster mushroom, Ganoderma and others. This year, the successful trial cultivation of Black chicken mushroom, Yellow Morel has also exploited a new path for farmers to increase revenues and boost enthusiasm of mushroom cultivation.
