Rotatory cultivation between Rice and Morel increases mu revenues of above 12,000 CNY

Recent days, in Morel base of Santai County, Sichuan Province of China, farmers have been busy with the preparation work of Morel cultivation.
“The present wholesale price of fresh Morel is at 200 CNY per kg, 2 kg mushrooms could be dried via 8 kg of fresh mushrooms, and the wholesale price is at 450-700 CNY per kg,” introduces the chairman of the base, adding that after deducting costs on strains, bags and labors, average mu revenues come to over 12,000 CNY.
In 2016, trial Morel cultivation got succeeded and then the first mushroom cooperative was built in the county, which indicates another booming road for local masses.
Wild Morels are scarce in volume and expensive in price, they are mainly exported to Europe and America. Over the years, artificial cultivation technology of Morel has realized the breakthrough in China.
Now, the base is in rotatory cultivation mode, Morels are cultivated in field after rice cultivation, and waste sticks could be reused as fertilizer, which not only effectively promotes cyclic utilization of straws, but also eliminates idle land.
