Shiitakes cultivated in 50 greenhouses are ushering harvest season

According to know, in one of specialized mushroom cooperatives in Zhaoyuan County, Heilongjiang Province of China, there are 50 Shiitake greenhouses, at the beginning of this year, the county initially introduced Shiitake cultivation and earned 700,000 CNY of revenues.
Now, Shiitakes are fiercely evolving in greenhouses, staffs are pleasurably engaged with the picking work.
“Now, it is the fifth harvest batch of Shiitake, after that, one batch is expected to be realized by the end of this year, and the present price on fresh Shiitake is at 8 CNY or so per kg,” introduces Mr. Sheng, the president of the cooperative, adding that Shiitakes cultivated from the greenhouses are in short supply in local markets. And in order to meet customers’ demands, he plans to expand cultivation scale to 100 greenhouses by the end of this year.
