Shiitake cultivation evolves into big business

When you walk into Shiitake base of Dianyi Village, Zhuanghe City, Liaoning Province of China, Shiitakes growing in the base would attract your eyeballs. According to know, the base is owned by Dalian Hongda Mushroom Co., LTD, 2.5 million sticks could be produced per year while production value comes to over 10 million CNY.
According to know, the base was constructed on June, 2013 with 16 million CNY of investment, till now, 2 stick-production workshops, 16 cultivation greenhouses and 200 growing greenhouses that cover over 300 mu have been built. Up to now, over 50 farmers have been driven to join in it and annual per capita incomes reach 50,000 CNY per household. 
“Mushrooms cultivated from Dianyi Village are always in short supply, annual marketing growth rate shows 30% or so, besides, above 500,000 mushroom sticks are annually exported to Korea, Shiitake cultivation has evidently evolved into big business,” said Mr. Liu, the president of Hongda Mushroom Co., LTD, adding that he plans to reach annual output scale of 10 million sticks, and realize 100 million CNY of output value in 3 years of time.
